"Jawn Fajardo is not our biggest athlete, but he seems to be incredibly popular. We met Jawn on the island of Boracay in the Philippines where he participated at a local competition. We kept in touch with this promising athlete and sponsored him for various competitions including the NAC Mr. Universe in Germany. "Normally we don't hear much about bodybuilders from the Philippines. IFBB pro bodybuilder Ray Arde or Musclemania World Champion Gerald Pangan come to mind. But there is much more to competitive bodybuilding in the Philippines. In April 2011, MG.com traveled to see the Asia Pacific Championships on Boracay, a small island one flight hour south of Manila. We awarded the overall trophy to Reynold Domalsin, and after the show, we approached several athletes which we shot in various locations.
